This Privacy Policy explains what information ScoutVenture uses, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Account information
If you create an account, ScoutVenture uses account information such as your name and email address. Authentication credentials and account authentication are handled through Clerk.
2. Trip and preference data
ScoutVenture may store account-scoped trip plans, saved destinations, checklists, preferences, activity-experience settings, and related planning data so signed-in users can use and synchronize those features.
3. Location
When you grant location permission, ScoutVenture may access your device location for nearby results and live-map features. ScoutVenture does not currently store your precise device location in its cloud-sync account data.
Device, operating-system, mapping, and platform providers may process location as necessary to provide location and mapping functionality under their own terms and privacy practices.
4. Subscription information
ScoutVenture uses RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlement information. A stable account identifier and information related to subscription status and transactions may be processed by RevenueCat and the applicable app store.
5. Third-party links
ScoutVenture may link to retailers, accommodation and booking providers, maps, government websites, and other third-party services. When you choose to open such a link, that provider may receive information normally associated with the request and may process affiliate or referral parameters.
6. How information is used
Information is used to operate ScoutVenture, authenticate accounts, synchronize account features, provide requested trip-planning functionality, manage subscriptions, maintain security, troubleshoot the service, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
7. Account deletion
You can permanently delete your ScoutVenture account from Profile → Manage Account → Delete Account.
Account deletion removes ScoutVenture cloud-sync data, the ScoutVenture authentication identity, and associated RevenueCat customer data used by ScoutVenture.
Deleting a ScoutVenture account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.

8. Children
ScoutVenture is intended for users age 16 and older. Users under 16 should not create or use a ScoutVenture account.
9. Security and retention
ScoutVenture uses reasonable technical measures intended to protect account data. Information is retained as needed to provide the service and may also be retained where required for security, fraud-prevention, legal, accounting, or compliance purposes.
10. Changes and contact
This Privacy Policy may be updated as ScoutVenture changes. Material changes may be presented in the app and may require a new legal acknowledgement.
